So Take My Strong Advice
Ah, those juniors. Look over your shoulder, and there they are behind us, already planning their 20th year reunion. Kim and Heidi have started their class reunion blog, so you know I’ll be a regular reader.
Hey, if you graduated in 1987, you should send them an email at shsclassof1987reunion@yahoo.com. Send some pictures while you’re at it. There’s just no reason why we should be the only ones representin’ on the Internet with our wacky 80s hair.
Do you think Slidell businesses care about the impression they are making on the 170+ people we’ll have in town for the reunion? (And the 190 email address I have on record and the readership of this blog, which I cannot measure or localize?) I mean, the businesses that have been able to reopen and thrive: maybe they don’t need to cater to anyone right now, but they do know how word can spread if they give us a hard time? I know people in the class of 87, the class of 88, and the class of 89, and you probably know many more, so there are at least three more reunion committees who might welcome my opinionated, repeated suggestions. I’m just saying.
